Referral Procedure

Children are referred to the Centre by their local education authority or NHS Board.
The Centre works closely with many education authorities and NHS Boards. We are pleased to advise on the arrangements in place with your local authority or NHSD Board for visiting, assessment and referral.
If appropriate the Centre will, at the parent’s request, assess children and provide the family with a report which can be used in discussion with their child’s education authority or NHS Board.
Once referred, the education authority or NHS Board pays a fee to the Centre.
Family involvement is a vital part of the work of the Centre.
